Change sounds after loading into DAW

I have loaded a drum track into my DAW. The kit I used (user kit) has only 1 crash cymbal and I would like to add more. When I do this, no new crash sounds are heard and some of my existing ones disappear. Any ideas?

can you please elaborate? I’m trying to reproduce but I don’t think I understand you correctly.

Or perhaps you can save an EZdrummer 2 Project, zip and attach to a post here, so we may have a look at it?

Thanks. I have loaded a track into the DAW, which I programmed using a  user kit with only one crash. I open up EZ drummer in the Daw, click on the arrow on each cymbal and select, but then when I play the track back, none of the cymbals I selected are present and some of the ones originally programmed in the track are missing.
