The choke system has been redesigned, but the manual has not been updated yet. In EZdrummer 3, there is a choke note you can add instead (expand the instrument that you want to choke to reveal the choke note lane).

Peter are you saying the Choke (stop playing) is the way and that using the Choke All (Channel AT) is obsolete? Just want to confirm. Thanks!

Ah, sorry. I just realised I overlooked your question about Choke release. The channel AT event editor can also be used.

The length of the aftertouch event box that you are drawing determines the duration of it being set to 127. At the end of the box, it is “released” and it is turned back down to 0.

I am noticing some unexpected behavior with how EZdrummer 3 is reacting to the channel aftertouch right now, though.

I expected that new notes playing during an 127-Aftertouch event would also be muted, but they are ringing out. I will report this to the development team for further review to see if this is intended or not.

Please do. It seems there is no advantage in using one method over the other right now. Or I simply can’t hear what Choke Release does in a real world example inside of EZDrummer to know what I’m missing.

    Thank you, Petter!
