Hello,
I’m trying to use EZD3 with either Cakewalk or Reaper. Or any DAW really, but those are the 2 I currently have. Whenever I have EZD3 open, either of these programs won’t let me select my kit. In Cakewalk I get an out of memory error and with Reaper I get a “The following MIDI inputs could not be opened” error. Also, if I open either of these first and select my kit, I can’t select my kit in EZD3. What am I doing wrong here? I’ve also deleted any sound devices in the Device Manager that I’m not using.
All I’m trying to do is record my playing. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks!
Ok, so now I’ve figured out how to record. You have to hit play and record. Now I can’t find the file I recorded it to. Should there be an MP3 file somewhere or is it always ezd.3p?
Also, I can’t hear any other system sounds except EZD3. I guess this is where a DAW comes in and I’m a complete noob with this. What I have been doing is just using a USB drive to record through my drum module on. I open BandLab in a browser and play along with it while while recording on the module for my drums. Then, I transfer that file to my PC and import it into BandLab. So, I’m assuming I need to import those tracks using a DAW. Cakewalk seems like it should work great since it’s owned by BandLab and just imports my library. But, I can’t get Cakewalk and EZD3 working at the same time so I’m back at square 1. As long as I have EZD3 open, Cakewalk or Reaper won’t connect to my drums. It seems like it’s some kind of midi conflict. Any ideas what I’m doing wrong here?
Apologies for sounding like a complete idiot here, but this is all extremely new to me. What I’ve been doing is super basic and adding EZD3 into the mix has definitely complicated things.
