Did you move the EZdrummer Lite .dll from where it was originally installed? If so, that would explain why uninstalling it wouldn’t remove the Lite plugin.

    Hey 😉

no, I didn’t do that and I must admit I was looking at it at one point thinking “surely I ought to be replacing that”….
so, what should I do now… uninstall the whole shebang, remove the dll and then reinstall EZ full ?

    Thanks fr yr hellup !!

Yes, uninstall everything (Lite and full) and make sure all ezdrummer .dlls are deleted if they don’t get removed by the uninstaller. Then run the the full ezdrummer installer download from your Toontrack account. Report back your success or failure.

Thanks, Scott… there is, possibly, one slight hiccup on the horizon… the pc I use EZ on isn’t online,I’m on my laptop right now but I’ll give it a whirl anyway and report back later.
    Cheers !

No problem, you can authorize any computer as long as you have some kind of internet access from some computer. I will assume you do since you are posting here

See this video for the steps:

sorry bout the delay, been a tad busy !
so…uninstalled ALL ezdrummer progs and the dll before trying a fresh install.
It still installs as a lite version…the stand alone player has more to it but if I want to use ezd as a vst it’s lite.
When installing, I get 2 pop-ups towards the end (should’ve written down what it said, eh) of the process with the options Abort, Retry or Ignore. Retry does nothing so I click Ignore and the installation finishes.

Any help would be massively appreciated at this point… I love the prog but it’s getting to be not worth the hassle !

I should also add that I do not have to authorize every time… only once, the very first time.

maybe i need to read this  😉

If you are getting an error message containing ‘Error 1309’, this is most likely because you are attempting to run the installer without extracting the downloaded zip archive. Please right click the downloaded zip file and choose ‘Extract all’. We strongly recommend using Windows’ built in extraction tool for this. Please remember to check for updates once you have run the main installer.

erm…this downloaded zip archive…. this would be from My Products and then the Red button, I assume ?
I know I’m a bit of a pain but I just don’t wanna clutter my pc with 1001 attempts
    Thanx !

Yes, and download it to your Desktop so you won’t have to hunt for it.

    thanks (again), Scott… big time.
…. and with the other updates I presume I just open em up and they’ll find their own way, yeah ?

Well, you still need to unzip the updates before running.

still no luck, i’m afraid… yet again the stand-alone version appears to be the full one yet when I open EZdrummer in my DAW it’s just the light version.
I’ve deleted the DLL file, used the download from the My Products page, I’ve ran the microsoft patch that purports to fix things, I’ve unpacked zip files that take all afternoon.
All of these things (at least) twice.
I’m getting to the stage where I’m convinced I won’t buy anything else Toontrack and I’m ready to cut my losses, sell the software and move on.

I’m prepared for one last attempt.
I have my store bought EZDrummer, my downloaded version from My Products and I have updates (Win130, Cocktail Up and Toontrack solo).
Is it possible to outline the process step-for-step so that I can finally use what I paid for ?

Sorry if the tone of this message is a tad grumpy… that’s how I’m feeling.

Step 1: Uninstall all EZdrummer (Lite and Full version).
Step 2: Search your computer for any ezdrummer.dlls and manually delete them if there are any left from the uninstall.
Step 3: Download the full EZdrummer product (the red ‘PC’ button) to your Desktop from your Toontrack account.
Step 4: Run the self extractor to unzip the file.
    Step 5: Run the installer.
Step 6: Run the EZD 1.3.0 update.

I will make the assumption that you are running a 32-bit OS (XP, W7). If not, please read the ReadMe file included with the 1.3.0 update as to the update procedure for a 64-bit OS/host.
