    Hi,

There is no EZdrummer 2 uninstaller that works on macOS Catalina, so you’d have to delete the components manually:

    • /Applications/Toontrack/EZdrummer.app
    • /Applications/Toontrack/Documentation/EZdrummer Operation Manual.pdf
    • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/VST/EZdrummer.vst
    • /Library/Audio/Plug-Ins/Components/EZdrummer.component
    • /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/EZdrummer.aaxplugin
    • /Library/Application Support/Digidesign/Plug-Ins/EZdrummer.dpm

(Note that “/” at the beginning of these paths means your system disk, by default named Macintosh HD.)

Then go to the folder that contains your EZdrummer libraries (EZXs). The default location is /Library/Application Support/EZDrummer. From there, delete:

    • Database
    • EZX2_EZdrummer2_Modern
    • EZX2_EZdrummer2_Vintage
    • EZXP_EZdrummer2_Percussion

Go to the Midi subfolder and delete:

    • 02_@EZDRUMMER_2_MODERN#VINTAGE
    • 02_@EZDRUMMER_2_PERCUSSION

Just want to add that it really works.

I just wanted to re-install only the AU component, because I deleted it accidentally. However the installer does not re-install the missing components, even though the product manager sees that it is not installed, and you get warnings that the AU component is not installed. So if you want the installer to re-install ALL components, then you really really need to delete ALL of the directories and files listed in the accepted answer, and only then run the installer. If even only one plugin remains(in my case I had forgotten /Library/Application Support/Avid/Audio/Plug-Ins/EZdrummer.aaxplugin) it will not re-install the components it seems.

    Hi,

if your goal is to re-install certain parts, like e.g. the AU component, you do not need to delete stuff. Simply click the grey ‘Download’ button next to the latest update, when it’s done you click the small drop-down menu right next to it and select ‘Install’.
When you run the installer, you can check that all components you wish to install are checked on the fourth page by clicking ‘Customise’.

Great step list, thanks. I just finished installing EZdrummer 3 and macOS Monterey and they are working okay so far, so I used your instructions to uninstall EZdrummer 2. Even without time yet to power use the new EZdrummer 3 features I am so impressed.

    EZdrummer version: 3.0.0
    Operating system: macOS Monterey (12)
