To start, what channels are you getting bleed on? That would be the first place I would check.

In the Mixer view to the far left are 3 BD faders with a blue border. Then moving to the right I see a Kick fader (out 1/2) and a Comp fader (Out 7/8) both with gold border. Then to the right I see Out 1/2 and out 7/8 with a red border. If I play the BD only I can see all of the channels I listed with BD activity.

If I mute any of these the BD bleed goes away: Comp 7/8 or Out 7/8. I think the bleed is coming from Comp 7/8. yet when I select Comp 7/8 and look to the right and click Properties, a box opens and says “bleed from instruments”. Nothing is listed in that box. I must be doing something wrong, because i would expect to see the bleed right there.

I have Out 1/2 routed to my external mixer on channel 12+13. This is for the full BD sound (and snare). Out 7/8 is routed to my mixer also as channels 14+15. Right now I have 13+14 muted, so all I’m getting is 14+15 which are out 7/8 in the S3 mixer.

I also selected each of the other blue border channels and none of them have the blue “on” button turned on for the BD.

Any clues where the bleed is coming from?

It would help to know which Preset you are using but I suspect it’s not bleed but a Send from one of the BD faders.

Bob Rock Kit 1 is the preset I started with and I modified it to be my own template. I didn’t do anything fancy or complicated, so I feel like you’ll be able to tell what it is by checking out that preset. let me know if You’d like me to send mine. I use a few things from Nashville EZX

It sounds to me like you’re hearing the Kick bus send to the Comp channel.

The Comp channel won’t show ‘bleed’ since bleed is only for mic channels and not effect busses.

If you want less kick sound in the Comp channel, turn down the send to the Comp channel from the Kick bus.
