Can’t record drums

This is my first post. Please forgive me if I do or say anything stupid.

I am using EZ drummer with ProTools M-powered, When I assign EZ Drummer to an instrument track and arm the track to record and begin recording and playing a pattern it won’t record. The pattern plays fine and ProTools looks like it does when I record anything else but I just end up with a blank track. Any ideas?

Hi,

could you please tell us which exact version of Pro Tools M-Powered you are using?
Have you updated EZdrummer to the latest version (currently 1.3.1)?

From your above description, it sounds as if you are playing a pattern in the EZdrummer Browser and want to capture this onto the Instrument Track in Pro Tools, am I correct?
If so, this is not how you do it, you simply click and drag the pattern from EZdrummer to the Instrument Track, where it will show up as a regular MIDI region, ready for you to edit inside Pro Tools, should you wish to.
