Please give us more details. What are your computer specs including operating system?

What is your install location of your 64-bit version?

What exactly have you installed? Are you trying to use EZD 2 in a host or standalone?

Windows 7 64bit. Trying to run it as standalone or as host. No problems with 32bit

Path to 64bit installation is C:Program FilesToontrackEZdrummer

What happens when you set that path in the error message?

I get an error that says No EZdrummer VST plug-in was found in the selected directory.

If you do a search for the ezdrummer.dll on your system, how many are there are what are the install paths?

There’s only one search result and it’s in my 32bit VST folder

OK, it’s not asking me where I want to install the plugin.

Is this window in your installer process?

Nope, never got that window popup

    OK.

You’ll have to give me info on what you’ve exactly installed and uninstalled and updated. Because I’m confused here. You said earlier that you did have the 64-bit plugin installed:

‘Path to 64bit installation is C:Program FilesToontrackEZdrummer’

But then you said that you only had the 32-bit plugin installed on your system. That doesn’t make sense if you ran the 64-bit plugin installer and the 64-bit ezdrummer.dll is in that ‘C:Program FilesToontrackEZdrummer’ location.

Then, you said that you don’t get a choice to set a path when running the 64-bit installer. You wouldn’t get that window I posted above if you ran the 64-bit installer previously.

So, please tell me exactly what installers you have run and which uninstallers you have run? Do you have an ‘EZdrummer 2 64-bit plugin’ in Program and Features in Control Panel to uninstall?

    My apologies for the confusion

That’s the path to the program exe file not the .dll. The .dll file never appeared. So I completely uninstalled the update and program and reinstalled everything and the updates and still no cigar.

When I ran the 64bit installer I got a popup that said I have an existing installation folder and that it would install into that folder. I was never presented with option of choosing where to put the sound library or anything else.

Presently, do you have an ‘EZdrummer 2 64-bit plugin’ in Program and Features in Control Panel to uninstall?

    Hi,

if you now perform a Search on your System drive for ‘ezdrummer.dll’, you should have 2 entries: one 32-bit in the (x86) path and one 64-bit in the ‘Program Files’ path.
The Sounds should also be in that 32-bit (x86) path.
If you now launch the 64-bit Standalone, can you point it to the correct location?
