Hi, I tried to install the latest update for EZkeys 2 today cause it showed up in my Toontrack Product Manager. Unfortunately it doesn’t complete the update.
First I get this error message:
“The feature you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable.”
It tells me to find “Ezkeys Software Installer.msi”. When I check my folders I can see that it is in the correct temp folder, but when I click on it
I get the next error message:
“EZkeys Software Installer.msi is not a valid installation package for the product EZkeys 2 Software.
Try to find the installation package Ezkeys Software Installer.msi in a folder from which you can install EZkeys 2 Software.”
Since the one in that temp folder is the only “Ezkeys Software Installer.msi” I can find all I can do is cancel the update.
That brings up the final error message:
“Error 1714. The older version of EZkeys 2 Software cannot be removed. Contact your technical support group.”
Can anyone please tell me what’s going on here? I don’t know if it matters but I bought EZkeys and got the automatic Upgrade to EZkeys 2.
I had no problems at all with that upgrade and both versions are working fine. It’s just this update that won’t work.
Thanks, Mike
Hi,
Please try to uninstall EZkeys 2 using the Microsoft troubleshooter tool: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/topic/fix-problems-that-block-programs-from-being-installed-or-removed-cca7d1b6-65a9-3d98-426b-e9f927e1eb4d
If that works, you should be able to install 2.0.1.
