Hey guys,
I just purchased Superior Drummer 3 and I cannot install it. I am on a PC. I have two drives in my pc my main C drive and another D drive. There is not enough space on the C drive. I installed the program onto the D drive and I am trying to change the download path of the Superior drummer 3 Library Part 1 – basic sound library and when I go to installation info and then cahnge the path I keep getting the error, “The Path could not be set. the selected folder is not a valid installation of Superior Drummer 3 Library.” Please help as right now I can not even use this…
Thanks!
Hi there, is C: drive your system drive? If yes then the program/plugin needs to be installed your C: drive to start with. If possible run the installer for SD3 and use the default for that.
Once that is done, then you should be able to install the sound libraries to your D: drive.
Mac Studio M1 Max, RAM 64 GB, 1TB Drive, OSX 12.x/13.x and Windows 10 (VM)
DAW: Studio One Pro (always up to date)
DTX Express III (Extreme triggers), Nektar LX88
OWC Thunderbay Mini (4 X 1TB Sata SSD), Express 4M2 (4 X 2TB M.2 SSD), Envoy Express (1TB M.2 SSD)
Presonus Quantum, Faderport & Faderport 8
Black Lion Sparrow Mk2 A/D, FMR-RNP-RNC, MIDI Xpress 128, BM5A, KRK VXT4, Equator D5
2020 Macbook Pro 16GB RAM, 512GB SSD Audio(mobile rig)
The download path is set in Tools > Options. It is not the same as where you want the product(s) to be installed. Where the SD3 sound library will be installed is something you can choose in the installer (of Part 1), which you start when the download has finished.
