    Hi,

are you using the Product Manager to install? If not, please do. If you are, which SDX:s are we talking about?

    Hi,

Yes, I’m using the Product Manager. In fact, it was after I used it for the first time and updated my products that the problems started.

I’m trying to install Avatar s2.0 Are Library and New York Studios Vol.2 SDX.

    Hi,

that message indicates a problem copying MIDI, so you got the actual sound library installed, right?
You have no EZdrummer 2 installation on your Sierra system, am I correct? Could you please try installing the EZdrummer 2 Demo and then run the MIDI Installers for your SDX:s?

    John

    Hi again,

I don’t know if I have the sound libraries installed correctly, but there’s stuff in a folder called “Sounds”.
I just installed EZdrummer 2 and tried again. Same error message.

Is Superior a product line you intend to keep or will you bet on EZ Drummer going forward? If so you might want to solve the problem by just giving me licenses that gets me on par with what I have purchased of the Superior line.

    /Måns.

And BTW; when I tried the demo version it started complaining about me not having an EX Drummer 1 license. Not very useful.

    Hi,

if you launch Superior 2 and you can load the libraries without getting any error messages, they are installed correctly.

There seems to be some kind of permission problem on your Sierra OS system (the other one works just fine, right?) when creating the MIDI libraries header.
Are you the Admin of the computer with full Admin rights? Are there several User accounts?
Is there an ‘EZDrummer’ folder in your ‘Mac HD/Library/Application Support/’ folder? If so, can you please post a screen shot of its contents? If it has a subfolder named ‘Midi’, please make sure you have full rights for it.
When you write that the Demo complained about an EZDrummer 1 license, I am a bit curious as to which installer file you ran – what was the file name?

And there’s no need to speculate about the Superior line, it’s not going anywhere.

    BR,
    John

    Hi,

    1. After restarting my computer I get two out of three expansion, Allaire and NY Hit Factory, but not the Avatar.
    2. I have checked the permission and it runed out that some were “Read”. I have changed them to “Read & Write”. Still no success.
    3. Yes, I am the Admin. The only other account is the Guest account.
    4. Yes, there’s an EZDrummer folder and I have attached a screen shot. I have the full rights to the MIDI folder.
    5. I ran the installer that your web sites provided me with yesterday. I suppose that’s up to date, but I don’t remember what it was called.

    /Måns.

    Hi,

more questions for you 😉 :

    1) Is this a migrated computer, upgraded or clean install?
    2) The drive you are installing to, is it a local drive in the computer?
    3) Is it HFS formatted?

    BR,
    John

    Hi John,

    1. I reinstalled all the products when I bought a new computer because on the old one I had two disks. That’s a couple of years ago, though, and it has been working well since.
    2. It’s a local drive, a 3Tb flash disk.
    3. I don’t know what “HFS formatted” is. It’s formatted as it came from the Apple store.

    /Måns.

    Hi,
I have read this thread a few times and I have exactly the same problem with the midi contenst (packages) with my superior drummer 2.

I run a Mac OS Sierra System 10.12.6 and had to reinstall my system and every apllication on it a fews day ago. Unfortunately it is not possible for me to install any of my midid packages and also the midi parts of the SDX expansion I have. In the end I have my SD 2 working but nor acces to any midi grooves. What could I try to solve this problem?
