Please help!!! Been trying to get EZ Keys to work in S1 4 Pro for days. Managed to get EZ D 2 working easy enough.
I have tried adding every location imaginable within S1 VST locations. No joy. My DAW is 64 bit, the software is the same.

Lloyd SnyderIf you figure it out let me know! I have made it work before but now it does not want to cooperate. I drag EZ Keys into my track (Studio 1, 4 pro) and no joy. I have been at it for days. Very little support (actually none) from toontracks. BTW, same problem with EZ Drummer.

Do both EZkeys and EZD work in Standalone? You are using the 64-bit versions of both plugins? What are the exact version numbers from Studio One and your Toontrack plugins? Are there updates available for any/all of them?

Lloyd SnyderUpdate: I can get EZkeys to show MIDI “in” from the RD2000, and MIDI “out” from EZkeys blinks, but no sound. I have found that in Studio One 4 I can put EZK into a track and create the midi, however I cannot audition it as I can’t seem to output sound to anything. I can drag the midi into the S14 track and output it from there to the RD2000. That is very cumbersome. Any ideas?
ScottDo any VST Instruments work in your setup? If you use another instrument, does it work as expected? I don’t use Studio One so I’m not sure if there is a track monitor button to hear the track that has EZkeys on it.

Lloyd SnyderBoth EZdrummer and EZkeys worked for a project I did. When I started a new song I can’t make it work. They are the only two plug ins I have. I can drag effects like reverb into a track and it works. What is frustrating is that the MIDI lights blink on EZkeys but no sound. Then sometimes the sound will come out of the PC speakers (no idea what I do different). I keep assigning ins and outs to everything I have connected and still no sound. I have the RD2000, Behringer DeepMind 12, UAD Apollo Twin, StudioLive AR22 USB, Faderport 16, MIDI interface is MOTU 8 channel. I can play the keyboards into S14 and playback (no problem), the Apollo records no problem, I can record from the AR22 no problem. Like I said, I finished one project by draging EZkeys and EZdrummer into the project and it worked. I started a new song and no joy. I have assigned the ins and outs to every device I have connected and can’t make it work. I don’t know of any track monitor button, but I can play into and hear out of Studio one with everything except the EZ products. This has to be something I am doing wrong, I acknowledge that as it worked once.
JohnI use S1 4 Pro also, and I’ve been an EZ Drummer user for a long while now, and just this past couple days I added EZ Keys. I’m using Windows 10 Home 64-bit, and both EZD and EZ Keys work in both stand-alone and as VST plug-ins in S1 4 Pro.
So I’m not sure what to advise, you have a lot of other gear that I don’t, so not sure if there’s driver issues or whether you did not get a good install of the EZ apps. Odd that you had them both working with drag-n-drop but not when adding into a new project. This probably indicates a specific installation issue, but not sure where things went wrong for you. I wanted to be sure to respond though, that I am a S1 4 Pro user and my DAW just loves both of these 2 toontrack products. I’m at work and not at my studio, but “m trying to visualize the steps I go through to insert a EZ Keys track in S1 4……
OH! I remember something that was unique in Studio One – once you have the instrument track in place, you single left-click on the little icon at the right side of the track panel. You know where I mean? It looks like… some weird tiny little upright piano thing? I dunno what they had in mind with that shape of icon, but when you click on that, then it OPENS the EZ Keys interface, so that you get the same interface as if you open it up in stand-alone. Maybe that is the step you needed to know about? That is not mentioned in EZ Keys docs, it is a Studio One specific thing. I hope that helps. I remember that I accidently found that out by just stumbling around…. but it works great.
If for some reason that doesn’t solve your issue, sometimes it helps to back up, do a clean un-install, and then carefully re-install. I’m an IT Manager by trade, so trust me when I say that I’ve seen and resolved a LOT of system issues by carefully redoing the install. The stuff can be a little complex and all of us have tons of drivers and different interface types and windows itself is – well, windows…. Did you use the toontrack program manager to install and register, or their website (both worked fine for me). I can tell you that after I did the download, install, and update steps I did not have to even register (it already did it for me) and I did not have to do a thing with Studio One 4 – all I did was create a new song project, select (or browse) instrument, get an instrument track — and then clicking that little icon in the track settings (not the Inspector, just the track settings), it brought up the EZ Keys interface and everything goes fine from there.
