I just bought a new computer with windows 8. I got reaper installed fine and I also got my Toontrack ezdrummer and add-on installed as well. However, in reaper when I try to start a new track and select my VST plug-in, the ezdrummer vst plug-in is not shown. I have my vst plug-in path set up the exact same way I did on my old computer which worked fine. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have same problem also using Reaper 4 and windows 7. Solo works on my laptop. I see the path and actually see VST Plugins and click it from add button in Reaper, then Apply and ok. When I go to my Yamaha DTXPRESS IV Special V2 kit I hit drums and get a techno sound that is different on each drum. Sounds like Reaper is passing something but I never see EZDrummer or Toontracks when I select in Reaper ADD VST or ADD Instrument. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank You
I was using the path that said VST, When I changed path to what the INSTRUCTIONS said path was Toontracksounds not toontrackVST. See if that helps you. I now have reaper seeing the EZdrummer option when I select it in VST Instrument and EZDRUMMER kit shows up. I am at work but assume it will work tonight when I get home and hook up to e-kit.
Make sure the DLL directory is included in your REAPER plugin paths, and then try a “Clear cache and rescan” from the Plugins/ VST section of REAPER Prefs.
