Can’t drag in drop in Studio One artist

Hello, I’m a total newbe to EZ Drummer. I have Presonus Studio One Artist and cant seem to drag and drop MIDI drum loops on to tracks. However, the software does allow me to make my own MIDI chains. I just dont get it.

I am using an HP laptop with Windows Vista.

Are you running Studio One as “Administrator”?

I read another post here about running as administrator and changed my settings to reflect ADMIN but still no luck.

Do you mean that you right-clicked the Studio One .exe file and selected ‘Run as administrator…’?

Its weird. Every feature seems to work except for drag and drop MIDI loops onto the studio one track. I can program my own MIDI in Presonus and it plays the EZ Drummer kits. But honestly Im no drummer so the pre made midi loops are the most important feature i need

Can you drag and drop any type of files into Studio One artist? .wav or MIDI files from your Desktop into Studio One?

You’re not hosting EZdrummer in TTSolo and trying to drag and drop into Studio One right?

I never tried to drop a wave file from desk top. Ill have to wait till it get home to try.

Heres what i do. I open EZ drummer from a menu on the right hand side of the studio one artist screen. Then i drag and drop the EZdrummer into the track field. This opens a track and labels it EZdrummer and automaticly opens EZ drummer as a virtual instrument.

I can bang on the drums, i can preview all the loops, i can program my own midi, but it will not allow me to drag and drop. It dosent even give me the mouse icon that i am picking the loop up when i click and drag it toward the track field.

Ok, i must have been eating my stupido’s that morning. I ran as administrator and bang. good to go. Thanks for the help
