I am new to Protools and EZ Drummer so I imagine there is a simple solution. I am trying to drag and drop from EZ onto a new stereo track in Protools but when I drop it on the track it won’t stay on the track? Im pretty sure I’m doing everything right according to the youtube tutorials that I’ve checked out but I still get the same result. Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong in set up or anything else?
I don’t use Pro Tools, but maybe you need to drag and drop onto a MIDI track?

Thanked by: expendableryandYes,
if you have EZdrummer 2 inserted on a Stereo Instrument Track, you can drag MIDI from the EZdrummer 2 Browser or Song Track to that Stereo Instrument Track OR a MIDI Track. An Audio Track will not accept it.

I’m having the following, similar issue. I cannot drag a midi groove FROM Pro Tools (2020.5) into the midi drop zone of Ezdrummer. Just doesn’t work, the groove clip just slides around in Pro Tools. Any ideas? Or workarounds?

EZdrummer version: 2.1.8
Operating system: Windows 10
I don’t believe dragging and dropping from Pro Tools to a plugin is supported in Pro Tools.
I don’t use Pro Tools but you should be able to press the “record” button in the EZD2 Song Track and then “play” in Pro Tools and record the MIDI from PT to EZD2.
