I loaded a stock kit, then swapped out the snare and hat from other kits. Then I wanted to try some of the mixer presets on the kit I’d assembled. But choosing a preset changes the loaded drums!
This is bizarre. We can’t try out different mixer presets on an assembled kit?!?
Hi,
they are not simply Mixer Presets but Combined Presets, recalling sounds, microphones and FX.
To be able to Save and Recall pure Mixer Presets have been requested over at Feedback & Requests. Feel free to add your voice to that request.
Personally, I settle for a basic sound first, then switch out the kit pieces… unless I’m working with the EZdrummer 2 sounds in Superior 2 but that may not be an option for you.

You can save your assembled kit as a ‘kit preset’ and
apply it after you have changed the ‘sampler preset’.

Thanks for the reply. This particular aspect of EZdrummer 2 is unintuitive. While “saving and recalling” mixer presets would be a nice feature, that’s slightly different thing. The mixer presets should simply be freely selectable at any time. We shouldn’t have to first save them in order to recall them. They should simply be available in the menu to apply to whatever kit pieces have been presently loaded. This implementation is frustrating.
Working with the sounds in Superior 2 is an option for me — but Superior 2 doesn’t have the features of EZd 2.

Thanks for the reply. Respectfully, that’s a very unwieldy approach. We shouldn’t have to save and recall items. We should be able to freely select mixer presets to be applied to whatever kit pieces are currently loaded.
Thanks again.
