Cannot use “edit play style” on a song

Don’t understand why I can’t not use “edit play style” on a song.
If I open a new track with EZ Bass I can use it.
But then I have to enter the tone again.
Cannot copy/paste from the other Ez Bass track to the new Ez Bass track.
What do I do?
