the midi velocity converter always converts CC4 from the hihat from 127 to 126 so I cannot get a tight articulation which is set at 127, it always trigger the closed articulation, I calibrated the hihat pedal and selected the E-Drums optimized option to use with my DWe wireless kit. My hihat controller sends full CC4 from 0 to 127. Attached a pic.
Hi,
how does the DWe Factory Preset work uncalibrated for you? From your screen shot it seems a modified version is active and the Factory Preset has ‘Tight’ happening already at 101.

The DWe uncalibrated preset triggers the tight articulation at 127 but then the closed articulation goes from 96 to 101 and it jumps very quicly triggering only tight sounds, ideally I would like to trigger the closed articulation from 100 to 126 and the tight at 127 but as soon as I move the closed point further than 101, it converts always 127 to 126, thus never triggering the tight articulation.
Ok so DW just released a video about fine tuning the hihat with their control app, I configured my DWe hihat following their explanation and now I can get full open to tight articulations, I also increased the tension on my pedal, the video is here: https://youtu.be/HLt9KYp5kMs?si=Pqdm2gul0FCDBO9l
Also the DWe map in SD3 is missing the rim only articulation which is 4, it’s blank.
here is my hihat as of now triggering closed hihat without pressure and tight with pressure.
and here are my pedal settings in the DWe control app:
