CANNOT select High Hat position?

I CANNOT select the HIGH HAT POSITION! For example it will not allow me to select wide open position. Every time I hate trigger the HH it goes back to the default settings (slightly open).

Operating system: macOS Catalina (10.15)

Hi,

can you please elaborate? What do you mean by “select”?
How are you triggering the HH?
Which articulation in which expansion are we talking about?
Are you using any of the MIDI/E-drums Presets?
Is there any Mod wheel/CC4 data on?

DETAILS —– ARTICULATIONS—- . I have an Alesis nitro mesh kit. When I hit the HH with my stick the sound of the snare is STUCK ON “OPEN 2” it should sound “OPEN 5” (wide open). I cannot SET the VST to trigger OPEN high hat sound.

Thank you John for replying!! BTW I love EZ2 and I have recommended it to evreryone! I have never had this happen before with the drum module or garage band.

this happens in ALL EXPANSIONS AND EVEN THE STOCK KITS 🙂

I AM USING no pre sets. its doing this straight out of the box. this also happened on the DEMO

Hi Zachary,

when you are using EZdrummer 2 with an E-drum kit, you need to apply an E-drum Preset.

In the MENU, in the upper right corner of the plugin, you go to Settings > E-drums.
I suspect one of the ‘Alesis’ Presets work best.

This will translate the incoming notes together with the CC data from the pedal to the right articulations for the HH.

Also, your other drum pads’ notes and articulations should be correctly triggered.
