I could not save user MIDI files with Superior Drummer version 3.0.1 when the following directory is missing:
C:Users\DocumentsToontrackEZdrummerUser MIDI
Here is a demonstration:

Is it possible to change this directory to store it on another disk?
Thanks,
Erwin
SD3 is using a static user midi folder path, so you can’t change it. Do you want to change path to keep all your MIDI on the same place/harddrive – or are there other issues?
The general idea we have is that large files should be movable, but smaller ones (like User MIDI) aren’t. It complicates things, and can lead to problems to have them moveable. If there are enough users who requests this, and it turns out it’s useful – we may reconsider the design.

Thanks for your explanation. I’d like to have control over the default locations on my harddisk. This simplifies my backup/restore schemas when I can store my projects and MIDI recordings on one location. This makes it also easy to exchange projects between computers.
Should I post a separate feature request on “Requests and Feedback”?
No, I’ll just take a note of your request 🙂 Thanks for the feedback!

You can also create your own “User MIDI” folder in the main MIDI directory…and you will see it right above the one that’s in SD3 by default.
Then you can select the SD3 “User MIDI” and just exclude it…not use it.
I think that will work for you.

Yes, I used this trick in SD2 and works fine in SD3 as well. However, SD3 has a new “User Midi” directory with more functionality. See a similar post with this trick here:
