After days with unfruitful support, I cannot reinstall EZD 2 on my Protools 2024.10, Monterey.
2024.10, Monterey.
I tried uninstalling everything I can think of, and even hidden files that the support told me.
In product manager when I try to reinstall 2.1.8 it says it installed, but EZD cannot be opened in Protools, missing.
When I try to install the updates, they install, but product manager shows that they are not installed.
Without the successful install I cannot authorize a computer in product manager.
all files are installing to the main hard drive on the Mac.
Accessibility is given in security and privacy to all toontrack programs.
The strange thing, is that I had it all installed successfully and then trying to move some favorites in i must’ve goofed up on that. Ever since then it’s been a problem trying to reinstall. I really could use some help.
Hi,
if EZdrummer 2 isn’t showing up when launching Pro Tools 2024.10 under Monterey, my initial though would be that you’re running Pro Tools in silicon native mode and since the discontinued EZdrummer 2 plug-in is not silicon native, you need to start Pro Tools in Rosetta mode.

Will this step affect other plugins that are installed i.e. Melodyne, Izotope, EZ Drummer, etc., that may or may not agree with Rosetta?
Hi guys,
I am writing to ask about a reinstall.
I had a smaller… (memory), PC , which ran all my audio work quite fine.
The only problem there was the size of the memory which began to slow everything down.
So, Bought a newer, more powerful laptop, but now find I can’t load or install EZ Drummer at all… !!
Some message , which essentially tells me you can’t download the app , despite the library having being previously being downloaded without a problem.
ok, that’s it. what’s going on, hopefully we can fix this.
Cheers guys.
Best regards
Leo

I can’t imagine there’s any current plug-in that wouldn’t work under Rosetta, it’s the other way around; older plug-ins do not run in silicon native mode.
The manufacturers you listed, as well as all my other ones, show up when I launch Pro Tools in Rosetta mode. Bottom line is, if you want to be able to run EZdrummer 2 in Pro Tools 2024.10 on Monterey, you must run Pro Tools in Rosetta mode.

Hi Leo,
please start a new thread. This one is regarding something different on another OS.
