Not sure what the best endgame method for you is.

Having both EZD & EZB open at the same time. You can drag a Groove from EZD right into EZB, so the whole beat will be in EZB, C1 is your kick drum.

I prefer midi in the plugins, but in this case maybe drag all of you midi out of EZB and EZD into their own tracks into Studio One. I don’t use the midi editor in Studio One, but most DAWs let you overlay your midi on top of each other so you can see and edit the differences.

Something to toy with just so you know it’s available. Grab a Groove from EZD and drag into EZBass’s Drums and Bass Tab. I don’t think the results will be perfect for what you’re going for, but it was my first thought.

You could Copy the Groove in EZ, Paste>Only>Kick back into EZ. And now you could drag just the kick drum over to EZBass.

I feel like there may be other ways or other ideas for your end game.  Maybe someone else will chime in.

Hey, dragging the entire groove from EZD to EZB worked, thanks!!

I still find it weird that I can’t paste multiple midi notes into EZB editor… what’s the purpose of that? Should’t that be improved in the future?

Great to hear! You could suggest it in the feedback forum.

I don’t think a lot of people are trying to do what you’re doing IMO, so supply and demand.

It might have to do with music genre or maybe there’s a better way to do what I’m trying to achieve.

I play progressive rock/metal and some of the grooves in EZD are quite insane, but in a good way. And I need to know exactly where every kick falls and decide what to do… It’s not a simple pattern, sometimes due to time signature kick or snare hit in very odd places. You can of course attempt to do it by hand… but it’s very time consuming.

If I could somehow overlay one track over the other, that would fix my problem. I could do it in my DAW but I’d loose all the editing features in EZD and EZB which is a deal breaker.

    Thanks for the suggestion!

I totally get your last paragraph.

There’s tools that get you half way, but you still have to work at it.

If EZBass 2 has Bandmate that works like EZdrummer’s does, you’ll have a knob to match transients.  We shall see.

Maybe solo up EZdrummer’s kick and feed it to EZBass’s audio sender. Still labor intensive, but maybe less.
