I just installed the upgrade to EZDrummer and cannot get Reaper to access EZD2.
It will only load the old version.
During installation I was never given the option of where to install the new plug-in.
It was installed in a different folder and (I suppose) as it has the same .dll name, Reaper accesses the old version.
By the way, when clicking the standalone version EZD2 always loads.
Could someone please help to get this running properly?
Thanks!
Edit: By the way, running 64 bit windows 7 and installed the 64bit version of EZD2
You need to install the 32 bit version of EZdrummer 2 if you are running Reaper in 32 bit. The bit depth (32 or 64 bit) on the operative system doesn’t have anything to do with the bit depth of EZdrummer 2 – it’s the host’s bit depth that decides that. The easiest test for you is to try to install the 32 bit version of EZdrummer 2. If that doesn’t work – please reply on this thread

Reaper user here also.
I only installed 64 bit as i use Reaper x64.
It would have given you an option on where to place the dll file. You must have missed it.
See if you can find it, and then place it in your folder where you normally keep all your intrument/effects dll files. If you can’t find it, start up the installation again and progress to the part where it asks where to install the plugin, as it will advise of a folder it would automatically install it to unless you change it. Then you will know where it installed it before.
Thanks both for your responses.
Yes, I am also running Reaper x64. The OS, host and EZD2 are all 64 bit.
No, it did not give me an option of where to install the plug-in.
I am always conscious of where my plugs are going and the option of where to instal it never appeared.
I have tried re-installing it several times looking for the window (with the little drop down options) never appeared.
This is driving me nuts.
Perhaps I should uninstall everything (EZD and EZD2) and start over again?
Does anyone know if the upgrade version requires EZDrummer 1 to install?
Thanks again.
If you uninstall, you do not need to install EZdrummer 1 before you install EZdrummer 2

Thanks very much, John.
I’ll give an uninstall/re-install a try later and report back as to whether or not it worked Just in case someone has a similar issue.
