Hi all,
I’ve just bought EZ Mix 2 and I’m having trouble getting to hear the effects while recording. All I can hear is the raw guitar/bass/vocal tone which makes it difficult to perform in a style that suits the effect.
On playback I can apply effects to the recorded sound no problem but I need to be able to hear it when I am tracking.
My DAW is Reaper 5.75.
I’m obviously doing something fundamentally wrong – any ideas people?
Thanks
Hi, I have the same issue and it is very saddening. I will take a look at it again today and see if I come up with anything and will let you know. I mainly want some subtle effects whilst vocalizing. My friend brought up a good point that perhaps it would require too much processing to achieve what you and I want, but I think my system is plenty powerful for this and I bought ezmix2 because I was told I would be capable of setting effects that I can sing with.
While I confess I’m not an avid Reaper user, I think you need to enable the Monitor button on your track to hear real-time FX in Reaper.

I’ve had and been having the same issue with EZ Mix for guitar amp/cab sims..
There also seems to be a problem with latency that I can’t track the issue down, that causes a terrible slap back e\delay effect.
It’s frustrating to hear, when all the demos make it out to be as”Easy” as displayed.. It is not..
I can record a dry track and pull up EXMix but, the playback is not effected by the selections.
Then, if I try to record through EXMix into Reaper or, even Ableton, I get the delay effect due to some latency..
It’s maddening..
Any suggestions?
Am I missing a set up step?
Is there something I need to tick off in the DAW to correct this?
Sincerely – Frustrated
Hi,
I would check the Preferences and the Block size+Buffering settings. Does your audio interface have a separate Control Panel?
If so, check the buffer size settings there as well.

John
