I have a Roland TD15 attached (midi in) to my Roland TD9. The TD9 is attached midi-out to my Focusrite 2I4 audio Interface which is in-turn attached via USB to my Laptop which is running EZ Drummer 2.
I have set both Roland modules back to factory default settings.
EZ Drummer is working but my Tom 2 and Tom 3 are not mapping correctly when I use the “Roland” midi setting in EX Drummer’s settings pulldown.
When hitting T2 it states I am hitting a the Rimshot, and when striking Tom3 it states I am hitting Tom2.
I have tried using only one of the Roland modules but still have the same issue. Another issue I have is with the VH-11 hi-hat if I do not select the Roland midi setting in EZ Drummer. The two toms seem to trigger properly if I do not set the midi setting in EZ Drummer ro “Roland”.
Is it possible EZ Drummer is having mapping issues partly because I am actually interfacing it with my Focusrite audio Interface? It wouldn’t seem to me that this would affect the midi mapping, but not sure. I have been struggling with this now for several months and I really need to move forward with or without EZ Drummer as I want to start recording. I do know that when I use both Roland modules plugged directly into my Behringer mixer I have no issues with latency or triggering each module.
