I just want to make sure I’m not missing something, I’ve looked through as many YouTube tutorials on Bandmate as I could find so don’t think I am, but I would like to know if selecting where the snare lands on Bandmate is possible?
I have a tune and the snares land on 3 but all the options Bandmate is giving me, unless I select Hip-Hop, are on 1 and 3, or 2 and 4.
Seems like it would be a nice thing to add if not.
Thanks in advance.
While I’m here – How do you do time signature changes in the middles of a tune on Grid Editor, or at least set it so it picks up on the signature changes that are being played on the DAW track? I’ve a couple of bars of 2/4 in this tune but I can’t seem to change the signature of those bars individually.
Per Question #1- I am fairly certain that you cannot do this within bandmate, but would just have to open the grid editor, or throw it into your MIDI grid within your DAW to do this, but you probably know that already….
Question #2- I don’t know- I do most of my editing within the grid in Logic. I am sure that this is backasswards, but it is workflow that I am most comfortable with

Thanked by: JynxOh, and lastly, the best Youtube info that I have run across on Youtube BY FAR is a guy named “shootie” If you havent already run across his vids, they are VERY comprehensive on EZ Drummer 3, as well as other Toontrack products – Hope this helps

Yeah I’ve seen his vid. I guess you can’t do it. I hope it’s something they add. I’m too lazy to make my own beats but will do it if I have to. 🙂
Hi,
you can trim the audio file in Bandmate and move the file and edit the loop area but there is no explicit control for locking instruments to certain beats.
I didn’t have any problems finding a groove where the snare landed on 3 going through the suggested grooves but this is most likely due to my extensive Grooves Library. If you find one where the other instruments do not play as you want them to, you either tweak the controls for them or copy the groove down to the song track, copy the snare from the groove in question and paste it onto another groove on your song track where the other stuff plays as you want them to.
As for Time Signature Edits; they are made on the Song Track. Go to the Track Menu and select Time Signature Editor.
