Hello,
I am pretty sure it can be done but, here is the scenario before I purchase anything. I want to go with an ezdrummer live setup for small gigs. I have a efnote 5 electronic kit that has midi. I am hoping ezdrummer can be used as a stand alone software package but, if not I would use any of the popular multitrack DAW.
I would purchase a audio interface (rack mount) with no less than 8 individual outputs. My two choices are Persons Studio 1824c or Focusrite Scarlett 18i20.
I want to be able to route each pad to an individual output on the audio interface.
Example: Kick to output 1 | Snare to output 2 | and so on. I want my sound-man to have total control of the pads separately.
Is this possible? Is so can I stack multiple audio interfaces midi’ed together to access additional outputs.
I am thinking this is as simple as choosing the proper physical output within a DAW which I know how to do in Pro tools and pretty much all other DAWS. am I correct ?
Once again, I am hoping there is a standalone ezdrummer application not a plug-in that doesn’t require the DAW to have less overhead hence less latency.
Please advise,
Andrew
