Hello,
Can you recommend a stand alone mixing unit to use with EZdrummer2. I do not want to use DAW on my Laptop.
Need help with recommendations for a Digital USB Mixer (Not a DAW on my Computer) that will work with EZdrummer2, the latest version, whereby I can send the drums from my Dell Laptop EZDrummer2 software out to the Mixing Desk and record and mix from this desk, not a DAW.
Can you recommend anything that you know works with EZdrummer2. I love EZdrummer, but have worked for the past year with Reaper DAW and cannot eliminate the pops and crack noises after I render either Stereo EZdrummer2 Tracks or 16 seperate multi-track drum parts into Reaper, so I want to eliminate DAW and use a stand alone Mixing Desk.
I was using a Zoom 802 in the early 2000’s and wondered whether there was anything Comparable to this that is a USB Digital Mixer that I can put my Yamaha MX88 Digital Keyboard thru to mix bass, keys, strings etc, along with my Vocals (I have a Condensor Mic).
Can you get the mixer to recognize EZDummer signal from the computer, or can you save the file and somehow import this into the stand along mixing desk so that I have the EZdrummer2 Song file that I”ve created in the Laptop to end up on the stand alone Mixing desk?
Can you please let me know what is out in the market that I can purchase that you know will work with EZdrummer2.
I can confirm my Dell laptop has the min specs required for EZdrummer2.
I have been through 2 laptops now and the same pops and crackles happen with both PC’s FYI and I have tried about 200 things to try and rectify, from battery power settings, Anit-virus, Turning off the WIFI, ensuring my system meets min requirements etc etc etc. The guys and gals on the Reaper forum have been really helpful, but nothing has rectified the issues, and no matter what I try, the pops and crackels are still there when I put into Reaper, but EZdrummer2 when listening back to the Midi File / Song I’ve created, sounds fine. Yes, I am running the most recent version of EZdrummer2.
I want to eliminate using a DAW.
Thanks in advance for your recommendations for a Mixing Desk minimum 8 channel recorder with inbuilt effects and recording to Master capabilities that is compatible with EZdrummer2.
Look forward to hearing from you regarding your advice and recommendations.
Thank you!
Kind regards
Elizabeth McGrath

Hi,
the crackling & popping issue seems buffer size related to me. It can, of course, be something else but either that or something interfering with CPU or Memory events. Anti-Virus protection on?
As for your other question; the EZDrummer 2 standalone can operate with interfaces that have multiple outs, so if your mixing desk acts as a multi-out audio interface, EZDrummer 2 has 16 Stereo outputs that can be routed to those interface outputs.
Oh, and make sure you are using the latest version of EZDrummer 2, I see you are using 2.1.1 and the current version is 2.1.8.
