Trying to create a Steely Dan PEG like progression – the problem is in EZKeys chords the bass note never moves when you change the voicing – and you only have a one octave range of bass notes in the details tab.
I know you can raise the whole midi block up an octave, and then I can drop the chord triad down to where I want it but it’s very long winded to do it that way round rather than just tell EZKeys to push the bass note up one octave.
I also know I could just tap this out in Logic MIDI to get what I wanted but that’s kind of not the point with this exercise – trying to see how good a complex song like PEG sounds using what I have in sounds and MIDI from Toontrack.
I know we’re all eagerly waiting for EZKeys 2 on the horizon (please!) but if there is still time to throw this into the feature list that would be awesome.
Would love this feature as well.
SD3 3.4, EZK2.1.3, EZ Bass 1.3.1, Win11, i9/9900, all SSDs, 64g RAM, Cakewalk, Studio One
In EZBass and EZKeys2
I don’t know on a PC, but Mac is Option+Shift and Up Arrow for 1 octave up and down arrow for 1 octive down.
Hope this helps.
