All of a sudden I can no longer drag/drop MIDI from either EZ Keys 2 or EZ Drummer 3. I can’t drag it from the app to the MIDI editor in my DAW (Cakewalk by Bandlab) or to the desktop. When I try I get an error saying a temporary file cannot be created because I need permission to edit from the C:/Programdata/Toontrack folder. Can somebody here help me with this? Thanks.

EZkeys version: 2.0.4

Try opening your DAW as administrator and also without administrator permissions.
To turn on or off administrator mode, right-click the DAW.app > Properties > Compatibility and you’ll find the checkbox for running the app as administrator.

Can you share how you got folder permission?
SD3 3.4, EZK2.1.3, EZ Bass 1.3.1, Win11, i9/9900, all SSDs, 64g RAM, Cakewalk, Studio One
Right-click on the folder, click the “Security” tab, then click “Edit” and modify it by additionally ticking “Modify” or “Full Control” for Users. You can also add your user account and set the permissions accordingly. It is important for the folder to allow your account to write to it.
Now, how this happened suddenly that the user account didn’t have the right permissions could be due to many reasons. It could be caused by Windows updates, antivirus software, or even updates from Toontrack modifying security permissions. Something clearly modified it.
