Can I create my own groove – in like 6/8 or 9/12 – in EZdr2 ?

I will assume you are using the EZD2 Standalone.
    1. You can play your MIDI controller and record your results on the Song Track. Or, you can mouse click the parts in. You can the Quantize the parts also. You can select the time signature and tempo and turn on/off the click as you play.

Then, it’s nice to open the groove you just played in the Edit Play Style feature and you can use the Amount and Velocity knobs to tweak your performance.

    2. You can buy MIDI packs also.

    3. Yes. Once you create your own grooves in the Song Track, you can drag them to the User MIDI section of the Browser. Rename them. Add folders.

Change the tempo and time signature in different parts of a song? How to do that?

The change of Tempo and Time signature is performed in your host. There is currently no way to do this on the EZdrummer 2 Song Track.

    Thanks!

But WHERE, exacly, do I “click the parts in”…?

And again where do I select time signature?

You click the drums on the ezd2 interface.

If you are in standalone, the time signature is next to the Play/stop/record buttons under the Song Track.

If you’re in a DAW, EZD 2 will match tempo and time sig of your DAW.

Actually, you have to set the time signature manually even if you are in a host, since the only thing the host can “tell” EZdrummer is the tempo (so unfortunately we can’t automatically set it for you).

    Thanks, I’ll try that!
