SD3 allows you to control LEVEL and PITCH for each and every articulation, which is very useful.
What would be even more powerful, would be the ability send an articulation to a mixer channel where it could be further enhanced.
For example, if I want to adjust the volume of my snare with a single control, I can only do it with the articulation LEVEL control on the main screen.
If I go into the mixer, on most presets anyway, the snare sound is routed through a ton of channels. While this is useful for getting the exact snare sound that you’re looking for, it is impossible to do a simple level adjust.
Is this possible? If so, how?
Thanks.

I can see in spots where reverb would be used on something like a sidestick articulation, which is not too far-fetched. However, that would be geared more to the song itself and is more for effect than a drum mix.
What the OP may be confused about is the environment itself. Geared more towards acoustic drums, SD3 treats them in a more holistic manner, but does allow you to build on it using things like stacking and microphone routing. Drum machines deal with articulation on an individual basis.

Thanked by: drumjack52Interesting you mentioned side stick. For certain tracks I end up with a separate snare for it as I usually process it different. When I record live drums I always cut the side stick part and put on a separate track as the eq and effect amount/type are usually different.
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors

That’s why used sidestick in my example, because when I need to, that’s exactly what I do as well. Sometimes I use the sidestick from abother snare altogether.
