Can I add 6th’s or 7th’s or 9th’s etc to the chord

Whilst I can select the root and type of chord to play against i.e. Major Minor or the particular Bass note, is there away to denote that I want to play over say a Dm6 chord or a CM7 chord or a Adim chord, or a CM7#9 chord?

Yes I use weird chords
