Buying Laptop any suggestions regarding latency issues

buying a laptop. Old desktop showing age. I noticed that new computers do not come with soundcard slots, DVD drives etc… Any suggestions on what I should buy or NOT BUY so i do not have the latency issue when using EZdrummer and midi triggers? Or do i just need to make sure I buy laptop with certain slots so an external soundcard can be installed.

Hi,

I think you need to decide upon your choice of audio/MIDI interface first and make sure your new laptop can handle it.
USB3 or Thunderbolt seems to be the future for low-latency operation.
