I’m trying to make my own grooves and having an issue trying to put closed and open Hi hat hits in the same groove. What ever I’ve put down first changes when I come back in and put the other sound in. Any help would be greatly Appreciated.
Hi,
could you please give some more details on how you work? Are you using EZdrummer 2 as a plugin or standalone? Are you using a keyboard or are you “mousing” in the hits?
Which version number is displayed in the EZdrummer 2 plugin?

I’m using version 2.1.1. I just noticed there is an update 2.0.2 which I’ll install tomorrow. I’m using as stand alone and mousing in the beats.

2.1.1 is the latest version. Don’t ‘downgrade’ to version 2.0.2.

So is a MIDI controller going to be the only way to add in open and closed HH hits when building my own grooves? if so are there any specific brands that work better or compatability issues before I purchase something that wont work with the program.
Depending on how you want to work or what DAW you are using you can mouse in the open or closed hi hat hits in the MIDI editor. Or you can play MIDI using a MIDI controller. Something like a Korg Padkontrol or something similar. Or a MIDI keyboard.
