I have built a long Midi part in SD3 and am currently attempting to remove some hits from it using the Grid Editor. After removing various hits I can play the section and the removed hits are gone (not visible and not audible). So I then save the project in SD3 using File/Save.
If I then go to File/ Open and select the project I just saved (I can tell that it is the right one from the date and time), the deleted hits are back in the midi part!
I’ve done this several times now and it simply does not work properly.
EDIT: (10 minutes later) I’ve just rebooted the PC but the problem remains.

I’ve found out why removing notes in the Grid Editor does not always remove them.
Clicking on an unwanted hit with the pencil tool looks like it has removed the hit because the diamond is no longer visible. However the notes are not removed properly in this way. After the project is saved the notes will return!
It seems logical to re-click with the pencil tool on a note that may have been entered by mistake, but not here. There does not appear to be any help in the user manual Grid Editor section about deleting notes. The only way I have found to do it is to lasso the note/notes and then hit the [Delete] key.
It would probably be a good idea to either make using the Pencil tool a legitimate way to quickly remove unwanted notes, on not let it happen. 😉
