Hello!
I have a problem with my Metal Foundry library. I created “my” kit in SD2. When loading my Cakewalk by Bandlab project it always loads the kit incorrectly.
This is what it looks like:
My kit uses 6 toms. In SD2 the sixth tom has a tom image. Here the cymbal indicated by the 1 is the tom. I don’t know why it is up there.
Loading my Cakewalk project loads the kit and assigns midi note 49 to the tom which is wrong.
I have to load the kit again in SD3 so it is ok.
When I quit Cakewalk and load my project again, it starts with wrong midi notes again…so I always have to manually load the kit in SD3 to fix this error. Saving the kit with fixed notes does not help…loading the Cakewalk project always leads to wrong midi notes until I manually load the kit in SD3 again although it was loaded with Cakewalk anyway.
Another bug is that when I strike upper cymbal which is my sixth tom…the crash indicated by 2 is visually hit.
By the way, here is my kit in SD2:

Grummelgnom ~ Sociocritical metal from the forest: Grummelgnom.at
Was it ok in 3.3.4? Asking as I’m wondering if I should hold on updating
SD3 with older sdx,s plus Rooms of Hansa and Death & Darkness. Cubase and wavelab current versions. Roland TD50x using all trigger inputs for triggering SD3 only. Windows 11 computer. Various keyboards and outboard gear as well as VST instruments. Acoustic drums: Yamaha 9000 natural wood and Pearl masters. Various snare drums. RME BabyFace Pro FS and Adam A7X monitors
No, the bug has been around for a long time. It is not a big issue as I just have to reload the kit after loading my Cakewalk project…but decided to report it though.

Thanked by: Olof HermanssonHi Mark – I would wait if I was you – see my recent post. cheers, Andrew
Thanks for the update. I have some good news and some bad news.
Good news is channel orders are retained with both 3.3.3 user kits I had as well as with 3.3.4 user kits so this has worked.
Unfortunately I have a major issue in that when I make an update and go to save the preset I cannot do this – see error message. See attached screenshots. First is a complicated user kit – it is in Hitmaker and user Toms and Kick from FOR Stone (Sonor kit) – it was saved in 3.3.4. I was however able to use “save as” and give it another name.
Second example is all within Hitmaker but same issue with saving the preset – and same error message. This was originally saved in 3.3.3 and again I could use “save as” and give it a different name.
Please check this urgently as major issue for me. Thanks , Andrew
