I’ve finally purchased SD3 so I’m new here. It seems bugs should be discussed in this forum. Please advise if there’s a recommended way to do this.
Hello!
I found a bug in SD3 Mixer’s EQ plugin that I’d like to report.
A specific node configuration can cause its track to panic (seemingly feedback out of control) and can be manipulated to crash the host.
I haven’t done extensive testing but can reproduce the bug at will following the steps listed below.
* Screenshots & Descriptions uploaded to Imgur (Click here)
Steps to reproduce (Use default node shape)
- Open an empty project for safety and load up SD3.
- Add the EQ plugin to any track or use an existing one if present in your default preset.
- Set node01’s slope to 12dB.
- Add node02 and set slope to 12dB.
- Trigger the bug by lowering the Gain on node02 between roughly 12500Hz and 20KHZ.
- Move node02’s Gain closer to 0dB, or set its slope back to 6dB to stop the bug.
- You’ll notice the bug comes and goes when placed on some frequencies around 12500Hz, and goes in full effect a few Hz above that.
- When the bug is in full effect, move node02’s Q all the way down to crash host (Ableton).
Do not hesitate if you have any questions!
Sincerely,
