Hi there,
I just downloaded core expansion pack for EZMix 2; I’m on a tight schedule for a big project with many brass tracks and I bought CEP because the icons on the product site said it contained presets for brass and I thought these might be helpful.
Now when I open the preset list all I find is two (!) presets for harmonica (!!!) – come on you guys, this can’t be true!!!!!
To be honest, the hope for brass presets was the only motivation why I bought this expansion (I own two other expansions so I’m well provided with presets for guitar, vocals etc.) so now I’m heavily disappointed.
To prevent further disappointments of customers, I have two proposals for the future:
1) Please add some presets for various brass instruments like trumpets & trombones; I guess I’m not the only one who waits for these
2) It would be nice if there were lists indicating which presets exactly are used in a pack. The solution with icons seems to be completely insufficient (as my case proves).
I’m a semi-professional, so I’ll find a way to make my brass tracks sound good, but it will take me much longer now and I would have been happy if this EZMix expansion pack had kept EZMix’s general promise (“…mixing music is … easy and incredibly fast”) in the way all my previous EZmMix products (1, Upgrade, Chuck Ainley & Songwriter’s Tools) had done.
Wortmann Terra PC with Intel i7 4 x 3,2 GHz, 16 GB RAM; EMU 1820m; Win 8.1 64 bit; Cubase 5.5.3 & Cubase 7.0.7; lots of Software instruments by EastWest, NI, Toontrack, XLN Audio, Steinberg, Soniccouture, Best Service... just to mention a few.
+1 to this. I have found some of the generic presets usable but I am surprised.at the ommission of brass. For a soul band recording mix this is not good.
