Hi everyone. I hope you’re all well and staying safe.
I have a problem that several other people have had before, but I don’t understand the advice given – I am not a producer / sound engineer and have no real understanding of routing, although I am trying to learn.
I’d like to bounce an audio file of a MIDI drum pattern I’ve created using the grid editor to a single audio file, with the mix and effects that I have added within SD3.
I’ve tried the following:
Track > Export Song as as Audio File(s) > Advanced > Bounce Output Channels
I then import the audio file into my DAW (Logic), but the audio sounds different. The mix seems to have been lost.
I’ve tried reading some of the responses that have been given but unfortunately I don’t understand them. I do understand (from what I’ve read) that there isn’t a simple one-click solution to this but that there is a workaround of sorts involving routing.
Please could somebody just explain to me very simply what I need to do in order to export the single audio file with mix and effects included?
I am sure there is a way!
Thank you

Hi Bee,
if you only have 1 (Red) Output Mixer Channel, like in my screen shot, you shouldn’t have any routing problems.
Then, if your Export Song Track pages (Bounce) look like mine, as attached here, you should hear exactly what you do in the SD3 Mixer.
