Hi everybody,
I am going insane with this:
– I have recorded live drums (kick, Snare, Toms, OHs). I want to replace the orginal close mic tracks of kick and snare with SD3
– I load the original snare & kick tracks into SD3’s Tracker. They are the exact same as the ones in my Reaper project
– I convert them to midi and bounce them through the mixer – everything fine so far, no problems
– If I now copy the snare and kick bounces from SD3 into my Reaper project they there is a noticeable offset between the two tracks from SD3 and the rest of the drum recording.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Best,
Martin
Btw.: The offset is always around 20 milliseconds. So if I nudge the SD3 tracks by 20 milliseconds they align with the rest
Hi Toontrack,
may I please ask for SOME support here? I bought a pretty expensive piece of software from you.
I am still having this issue. Please see attached picture.
Thanks in advance.
Best,
M
Hi Martin,
without having the project in front of me, it’s tricky to tell exactly why but are we talking about an SD3 internal Bounce or are you talking about Bouncing through Reaper when you get the audio files that aren’t lining up exactly with the original audio?
When you play back the MIDI derived from Tracker, it plays back correctly in time from the SD3 Song Track?
Are there any Tempo differences in Reaper and SD3? Do the Bars and Beats align In Reaper and SD3 Song Track?

John

Hi John,
thanks for your reply.
I always bounce through SD3 and then import the bounced tracks into Reaper.
The derived midi shows the same problem. See file attached. Tempo is set in both Reaper and SD3 to 95 Bpm.

Martin
OK,
if the MIDI is not aligned, the SD3 Bounce will not be either.
In Tracker, does the audio seem to be misaligned as well? The reason I’m asking is that it is possible that your audio files you import into the Tracker does not start exactly at a Bar/Beat.

Mine don’t align either so I enable SD3 midi out and then record onto a track in my DAW which is Cubase but any DAW will do. Not great but I really can’t be bothered trying to write tempo tracks into SD3 from my DAW. This method works perfectly.
