I’m using SD3 for drum replacement, and when I bounce audio it goes through the trouble of bouncing every single mic, even if there is only input on one drum and its corresponding microphone/bus is Soloed and selected. This seems to be way more time consuming than is necessary, is there a way to bounce only from the selected channels, or just remove the other channels/mics altogether?
One way would be to go to the bounce advanced tab and select “Bounce Output Channels”. Normally that would just give you output 1/2 if you are outputting to 1 stereo output channel. So for example if you want to bounce snare and the OH for ambience to 2 files. Route the snare, top/bottom mics to output 1/2 and the OH to output 3/4. Bounce output channels will give you 2 stereo files.
hope this helps

Thanks for the reply, this is actually what I’m doing already. Even with this configuration the unused mics/channels still go through the bounce process, what I’m trying to figure out is if there’s a way to bypass “Bouncing Kick In” etc. and save some time.

I believe that is just a part of the bounce process.
