Dear Toontracks,
When running SD3 standalone to audition grooves I have found they are behind the beat, let me explain:
This only seems to be happening to a single “product” as follows:
Superior Add-On Pack/Blues/12/8 Songs/Slow Blues 92 BPM
All the samples under the “Slow Blues 92 BPM” heading, when dragged down to the track region and then looked at in the “Grid Editor,” (see attached file) it can be seen that the grooves are over 3/4 behind the beat.
However this error can be corrected when the groove is imported into a DAW, in my case CUBASE 11. Once the groove is imported into the DAW it can be easily “dragged” to sync correctly with the beat.
But unless the groove can be “dragged” to sync correctly in SD3 standalone, which I have tried to do, you can’t effectively audition the grooves and thereby construct a drum beat for a song.
This aberration only seems to be in the “Slow Blues 92 BPM,” NOT “Midtempo 118 BPM” grooves under the “12/8 Songs” heading
Listening to the groove, it’s not behind. The groove starts on the upbeat and somewhat pushes the groove, as you can see that it is slightly ahead of the beat.
Moving the groove back to the downbeat (IOW the beginning of the bar) would change the entire feel of the groove.
