I just bought SD3 crossgrade. I have a mac laptop but not enough disk space to install all SD3 related files on the internal drive. What is the best way to install?
SD3 program on internal drive and all other files on external Glyph SSD drive?
Will there be problems if I do that? Is it possible to run the program smoothly in this way or do I need spend the time to try to clear internal drive to get everything internal drive?
As a matter of fact, you can order a drive from ToonTrack already pre-loaded. Save you a lot of time downloading…

But cost you a lot more for the sake of waiting a few hours
Have had no problem with the set up you are contemplating. I used a Samsung T-5 SSD . . . Snappy! Using a portable drive also allows you use sd3 on any other licensed computers you may have without having to load up the hard drive. Also, if your Mac has a disc drive, it is likely to have diminished performance running at near capacity . . . good luck!
Remember SD3 runs from RAM so the drive does not have an impact on the sound or make it choppy. All it does effect is how long it takes to load a kit
