Hey,
which are your favorite EZX or SDX (or EZdrummer / Superior Drummer core libraries) for Traditional Blues?
Think 50’s Electric Chicago Blues / Little Walter / Tomi Leino Trio, NOT Gary Moore / Joe Bonamassa.
I’d like your recommendation for a sticks library and for a brushes library – doesn’t need to be the same library.
EZX The Blues is an obvious choice for the sticks library, but it’s very old and maybe there are newer more detailed libraries for my use case.
SDX Decades / EZX Big Band seems a fantastic choice for sticks and brushes, I just wonder if it is more on the jazzy side?
(For example The Jazz EZX is very high-pitched and doesn’t fit at all for my ears.)
The brushes kit can include lots of swirl variations like SDX Decades but doesn’t need to (some of my quiet songs need brushes, but not necessarily swirls).
And which is the best brushes kit that includes all those fancy swirls?
How about SDX Legacy Of Rock / EZX Classic Rock? More on the Chicago Blues side or more on the modern BluesROCK side?
How about SDX Custom & Vintage / EZX Vintage Rock? I read here in the forum that half the presets from SDX C&V need kit pieces from the SD2 core library which I don’t own.
Maybe some hidden gem of a kit in some other SDX or EZX I haven’t discovered?
Note: I rely on the included presets, as I am no sound engineer. 😉
Looking forward to your recommendations!
(And if you only know in-depth about sticks OR brushes libraries, but not the other, your comment is still very welcome!)
(As this relates to SDX and EZX, I posted it in both forums.)
