When selecting Mixer Presets, most drum sets have a “Basic” and an “Original Mix” option. What’s the difference between “Basic” and an “Original Mix” in theory? I can hear a difference, but trying to understand the idea better. Thanks.
Basic is usually a default ‘all-round’ preset that is suitable for a range of applications. There is usually some processing applied. Original Mix gives you access to all mic channels that were used in the recording (rather than busses) and has no processing. The Original Mix preset is useful for users who prefer to mix within their DAW.

That clears it up for me. Thank you.
