Hi I have downloaded the Basic Sound Library, but it’s asking me to update it. As i update it, everything seems to be fine but in the Product manager , it still shows the “Ready to use” as greyed out (Mainly the “Core MIDI Pack for OS X”) and prompts me to update.
How do i get out of this vicious cycle ?
PLEASE HELP
PS: I’ve tried deleting, downloading and re-installing … Still facing the same problem
In SD3 in Settings > Libraries at the bottom, what path does it say for “Additional Libraries”? Is the Edit button enabled? Also please send the file Installerlog.log from Macintosh HD > Users > Shared > Toontrack.

Try clicking that Edit button and browse to (select): system disk > Library > Application Support > EZDrummer
That may fix it all.

Hi guys,
from what I can understand, there is an issue with the SD3 Library installer and the Catalina OS release.
I have no other advice than to contact Toontrack Support directly via any of the FAQ pages.

A workaround for this issue with the Sound Installer on macOS Catalina is to change the download location in Product Manager to somewhere that is not within your Downloads, Documents or Desktop folders. I would suggest a new folder named “Toontrack Downloads” located directly in your home folder. Then use the “Move Downloads” button (in the Product Manager preferences window). When that is done, you should be able to install.

I had the same issue and tried Olofs workaround which worked for me. Thanks a ton!
So I did your suggestion of creating another folder to get it to install. What would be the best way to copy those files now to external ssd so I can delete it off my MacBook’s HD so I can have more room to keep downloading?
Im using a Samsung T5 terabyte first the external SSD

Hi FuzzFunk,
the Downloads folder does not need to be on an internal HD, so just follow the same instructions to Move the Downloads to a folder on an external HD.

Basic Question:
MAC OS 10.12 Sierra
Installation question..
I’ve installed the program to my main computer but
after that, my question is:…..
After downloading Part 1 library of SD3, can I move it to my external Solid State Drive?..
I have to delete the download from the main computer because, my late model 2013 cylinder has 250GB total.
There’s 75GB available on it.
How do I do this?
