Hello,
I feel like I’m wasting my time cause it doesn’t look like this forum is used much. But in the hope someone can help I have this problem.
Just bought a selection of EZkeys midi packs. Playing around with Ballads and on a simple chord progression on some variation there are duff notes being played.
Chord Progression – G C D G
Ballads / Straight 4/4 / Intro / Variation 01 – One note sounds out of key when playing D chord
Ballads / Straight 4/4 / Pre Chorus / Variation 04 – out of key when playing D chord
Ballads / Straight 4/4 / Chorus / Variation 03 – out of key when playing last G chord
Ballads / Straight 4/4 / bridge / Variation 02 – out of key when playing D chord
Now I know you can go into your DAW and edit the notes but this is very time consuming if you don’t know what you are doing, for me messing with midi notes is trial n error. This clearly is a programming fault as I doubt the musician played duff notes. Is this a known fault within any of the EZkeys midi packs at all?
Here’s a screenshot of one of the selections that plays duff notes.
Thanks
Paul
I'm Full Of Questions
Yes, when using the ‘Use Browser MIDI’, there may need to be some adjustments. If you notice the original MIDI, it’s 8 bars and chord changes every 2 beats with passing notes and harmonic variations. It’s a bit like trying to fit a square peg into a round whole. There are some MIDI that will just work better when using the ‘Use Browser MIDI’ than others.
