Bad latency in logic pro with TD-30 as audio interface

Dear friends,

I’m new to SD3, living it so far.

I have a TD30, and after installing SD3 I started to see how SD3 works with the TD30 connected via the usb cable to my laptop (midi over usb)

My experience so far:

• I have my TD-30 module selected as audio interface on my macbook pro system prefs
• When I use the standalone SD3, latency is fine (buffer set to 128, 64 gave me crackles)
• However, in logic the latency is way longer and actually unworkable (and the low buffer sizes give a lot of crackles/cpu overloads).

Is this normal behaviour? Would an another audio interface resolve the issue?

Your TD30 is probably not a suitable audio interface if you have to have a higher latency. You’re best to get an audio interface with Thunderbolt capabilities.
