Using ED2 in DP8. Using Stormdrum 2 as a basic midi percussion track.
Midi file I am using in SD2 sounded best when I set DP8 conductor track to 12/8.
I successfully synced an ED2 swing track to the SD2 track.
Later, I needed to add a flute solo in 4/4 to the front end of the sequence.
I entered the 4/4 on the conductor track, and at the appropriate time entered the 12/8 on the conductor track.
I noticed that ED2 was several measures off of DP8 and realized that ED2 did not receive the METER change info from DP8
The tempo changes were received by ED2 but not the METER changes. This totally screwed the sync up.
Trying to figure out how to re-sync things w/o having to deleted all 15 audio tracks recorded for the SD2 midi files and re-syncing everything and deleting the midi files out of ED2 and re setting all of those. So far nothing I have done has allowed me to re0-sunc what I had. Part of the problem is ED2 not receiving the METER change info from DP8.
Is there a button I missed on ED2 that would allow it to receive meter change info??
I have the follow host button enabled but that is of no value if ED2 is clicking along in 4/4 while DP8 has switched to 12/8.
A live drummer that couldn’t make meter changes sure wouldn’t have a job for very long..don’
